It was unplanned but thanks to the approachable staff of the Cozy Vintage Unit at Tagaytay Prime Residences for accommodating my request even it was short notice.
I wanted to surprise my husband for his birthday but my "Plan A" didn't work out and I had to find another way. Luckily, a staycation in Tagaytay saved me!
Cozy Vintage Unit also offers surprises for birthdays, anniversary or other occasions/events for a minimal cost. You may check their rates and inquire bout their packages. Just click the link provided below or contact them with details as listed below.
The room is cozy and it has complete appliances that we need. For us to save money, we bought groceries and decided to cook for our meal. Kitchen wares, cooking stuff were there and we enjoy our time together by just staying in our unit.
While drinking coffee and having our meal, we had the chance to talk about lots of things, our experiences and even our dreams. As a newly wed, it was really fun to spend time with each other while relaxing. The view from the balcony plus the weather was such perfect moment for us to have deep conversation and realization.
It helps us realize that even once a month, we should escape from the crowded and polluted city where we spend most of our days. After all, a staycation doesn't cost too much but it gives us so much of positive thoughts and energy and a peace of mind.
We spent a total of 3,570Php. If divided into two, 1,785Php :) Not bad for a great experience!
Below is the our itinerary :)
DAY 1 (November 18,2018)
-3:00PM-6:00PM (travel time from Baclaran to Tagaytay)
Ride a bus with Tagaytay signboard and tell the conductor to drop you at Olivarez Plaza.
Fare is 80Php
Tgaytay Prime Residences (TPR) is just walking distance from the main road and Olivarez Plaza
Check-in time is 3PM onwards. Just coordinate with Ms Teresa if you will be coming earlier or a bit late so she can give you instructions on how to check in :)
After we checked-in and fixed our things, we decided to go out and had some window shopping. There are lots of bazaar near the plaza. Grocery stores and fast food chains are also there. Very accessible. So we bought stuff from Puregold for our dinner and breakfast on the next day :)
We had fun roaming around because of the weather and the bazaar that's why it was a bit late when we reached our unit. But were not sleepy yet :D We watched TV until we fell asleep.
DAY 2 (November 19,2018)
We woke up early to cook our breakfast and be able to go to some nearby places before we check out.
It was absolutely one of the best mornings I had with my husband. We really enjoy the view from the balcony, the weather and the ambiance of the place. We felt like we were very far from the city.
We started walking from the TPR and check different stores for souvenirs and pasalubong. We did not bring our mobile phones for us to avoid checking it from time to time and just enjoy the remaining ours of our staycation. But we also forget that we need even just one to capture some pictures :D
Since check-out time is 12:00PM, we went back an hour before to clean the unit :)
They have house rules which should be followed by the guest specially with regards to cleanliness.
Around 11:45AM, Ms. Teresa went to our unit to get the keys and check if we treated their unit as our own.
We traveled back to Manila and reached our home at 3:15PM :)
